Charity was officially spawned just over a year ago but take a look at her Instagram and you would think her creator, Harry Whitfield, came out of the womb in drag. She has recently finished a 365 days of drag challenge, the looks of which range from undead clown eleganza to robo-housewife realness.

In our conversation, Charity chimed in on the questions I posed in the first instalment of Chameleon Sliderimage And Drag & Drop Content SliderBritish Eleganza, explaining what drag means to her and providing an unforgettable answer to, ‘my drag in one sentence’: SliderWhat encouraged you to become a drag artist and how long have you been doing drag for?I always loved fashion, fantasy films, books and makeup - using drag as a method of expressing my feelings. I have been performing in drag full time for just over a year and prior to that I dabbled in it whilst selling artwork.ChameleonWhat does drag mean to you?Drag is turning into something unrecognizable and blurring gender lines. Its art, it's performance and it’s my passion.What do you love most about drag, the performing, the fashion, the makeup and transformation, a mix of each?

The thing I love most about drag is not recognizing my reflection in a mirror and making people gasp, on stage or in the street. I am able to create dreams and nightmares and that is a fabulous job.Sliderimage

If you could describe your drag in one sentence? Nosferatu meets princess peach in the renaissance period on mars.Who or where do you find inspiration from as a drag queen/artist?I love periodic fashion and clothing and tend to head towards those for fashion inspiration. My makeup and characters are mainly inspired by fantasy and sci fi television, film and literature.

Where can people come see you perform and/or what projects are you working on right now?I work regularly at the Box in Soho, and I host PHAT club at Freedom bar down the road on some Thursdays too! I'm currently working on more Youtube tutorials and videos, as well as a whole new merchandise collection for Drag World UK in August.Follow Charity on Instagram
